8. Computational Nanotechnology:
Computational
nanotechnology deals with the pre-fabrication techniques of nanotech devices,
and systems.
Computational nanotechnology is emerging as a fundamental engineering analysis
tool for the design of nanodevices, much in the same way as the continuum finite
element analysis (FEA) has been used for the design and analysis of most of the
current generation of engineering systems (e.g., automobiles, ships, airplanes,
and ICs). Molecular machines, provided that they are specified in
atomic detail , can be modeled using the tools of computational chemistry.
