1.8 Summarize cloud concepts and connectivity options
Infrastructure as code and Automation/orchestration
Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Automation/Orchestration are two related concepts in cloud computing. IaC is a process where an organization can manage and automate the deployment and configuration of their infrastructure using code, rather than manual processes. Automation and orchestration are technologies that enable IaC and can help organizations manage their cloud infrastructure in a more efficient and scalable way.
Explain the following Connectivity options
Virtual private network (VPN) is a secure and encrypted connection between a device and a network over the Internet. It allows users to access the resources on a private network as if they were physically connected to the network, while still maintaining the security of the data being transmitted. VPNs use tunneling protocols to encrypt the data being transmitted and to create a secure connection between the device and the network.
Private-direct connection to cloud provider is a dedicated, high-bandwidth connection between an on-premises network and a cloud provider's network. This direct connection eliminates the need to transmit data over the public Internet and provides a secure and reliable connection with lower latency and jitter. This type of connection is useful for organizations that need to transfer large amounts of data to and from the cloud, or for those who require the lowest possible latency for cloud-based applications.
